Research Methodology
We built knowledge and empathy for our users through user interviews, market research, and product evaluations. We then synthesized our insights into a detailed report which defined the problems and identify opportunities for solutions.
1
Domain & Market Research
As relative novices to the Core Banking market, we educated ourselves on the domain and evaluate the core banking software market, features, and trends
2
User Interviews & Personas
We interviewed internal stakeholders and external customers to understand their usage, perception, and opinions of the current solution along, and to gather their needs and identify their JTBD.
3
Heuristic Evaluation
We evaluated the existing Core software users experience to better understand the current product and ensure what works well remains intact in the next-gen solution

Personas
We created 5 new personas based on our user research. These served to inform the design and align engineering, product, and the executives on who we are building the product for. Also, they helped us stay true to our intended audience.
Discovery Report
A discovery report was created to record our findings and present the data and analysis in an easy-to-digest format targeted to executives and decision-makers . Topics included current state eval, user impressions, issues, and proposed solutions.

Proposed Design Solutions
After research we moved into the design phase to conceptualize and ideate through ideas. We then converged on a solution and delivered a concept with a working prototype to test with the team and our users to validate our concepts.
